Beach Club Verde Ventos – Maresias Beach

Beach Club "Coca Cola Verde Ventos" sustainable event set up in Maresias, North Coast Paulista whose construction follows the requirements of the Greenbuilding Council seal.

The space of 3,400 m2 has a collection of recyclable garbage (the material generated will be collected by ECOPAV and sent to the recycling cooperative of São Sebastião), distribution of containers for cigarette butts, electric compost for decomposition of organic materials and fertilizer production, which will be used in areas of reforestation of the Serra do Mar, reuse of rainwater, cleaning staff to guide visitors and use of environmentally friendly material.

Coca-Cola has also partnered to have local food restaurants and bicycles for rent on bikes. The program of "Coca-Cola Verdes Ventos" also includes classes of crossfit, surf, stand up paddle and futevôlei, besides lectures on environment.

According to Luciano Sá, advertising and events manager for Coca-Cola Femsa Brasil, the summer project is in line with the brand's new campaign, launched in late 2014, which encourages consumers to share a Coca-Cola with their friends. Summer, he said, is a perfect occasion for this and to share sustainability on the same platform. The Coca-Cola Beach Club will run until February 22.
